Depending on weather and wind conditions, the tower crane on the site may be moving during non-working hours. It is considered safe practice to allow a tower crane to move or “weathervane” when out of service and when there is no risk of the boom contacting other structures. The resulting wind induced rotation of the crane upper-structure minimizes the exposed surface area to strong winds and relieves potentially damaging pressure on the crane.

05/01/10 - Concrete work will continue during the month of May for the two level underground garage portion of the eastern half of the project. Also, associated plumbing, electrical and waterproofing work will continue throughout May. The concrete work includes the framing and pouring of caisson caps, grade beams, columns and elevated slabs for Lower Level 1 and Level 1 (the ground floor slab of the new building).

Depending on weather and wind conditions, the tower crane on the site may be moving during no-working hours.
