August 2011: On the eastern half of the project site, the concrete superstructure of the 39 level Tower is now completed with the Topping Out Ceremony held on July 7th. The North Tower Crane is being disassembled during August and the South Tower Crane will remain in operation as it is required for the installation of the precast concrete cladding and the windows that enclose the building. This enclosure work will continue through the month of November. Interior construction and build-out of the condominium units is in progress and will continue through the Spring and Summer of next year.

On the western half of the project site (the north-west quadrant of the site) demolition of the existing garage will be completed during the week of August 8th and installation of new sheeting on the perimeter of the site will begin during the same week. Caisson foundation installation in this area is expected to start during the week of August 29th. Concrete work on the new. structure in this area of the site will begin in mid to late September and continue through the winter months.

As a reminder, depending on weather and wind conditions, the tower crane may be moving during non-working hours. It is considered safe practice to allow a tower crane to move or “weathervane” when out of service.
